Our Workshop
We have designed our workshop to suit the needs of all modern bikes, from cargo and EAVs to commuters, mountain, road and e-bicycles. Some bikes are not well suited to being serviced in small workshop spaces. Many are too big for the space, and some even too heavy to fit in a traditional repair stand. We love big, odd-shaped bikes!
Customers are welcome to visit us at our workshop for a chat, we are happy to give advice on all bikes at any time.

In contrast to standard practice in the bike industry, we do not offer a menu or tiered list of services. Our ethos is to carry out what needs doing and charge for the work we do, based on our hourly rate of £35 per hour; we will provide an estimated cost once we have assessed the bicycle and identified what it requires. New customers often ask us the cost of a service, so we have some examples of typical services below as an indicative guide:
Our Ethos
Standard Hybrid and Road Bicycles (cable-operated, externally routed)
A six monthly service for this mechanical, rim brake hybrid used as a daily commuter. The bike was cleaned using our eco-friendly microbial parts washer from Rozone, and the worn components replaced with new (chain, freewheel, brake shoes and cable inners/outers). This took one and a half hours (£52.50 labour), and with parts came to £132.50:

We serviced this road bike four months prior, but with regular use on pot-holed roads, the front wheel needed truing, a puncture repair and the brake shoes replacing. The bike was cleaned and the worn components replaced with new (brake shoes and inner tube). This took one and a half hours (£52.50 labour), and with parts came to £70.50:

More Complex Bicycles (e.g. internally-routed hydraulic brakes, electric and cargo bikes)
The design complexity of some bikes, or the extent of the work required, means more time is needed to complete a service. Due to these variables, we can provide an indicative cost when assessing your bike.
We stripped all components from this customer’s road bike, and swapped them over to a new carbon, fully internally routed frame and integrated cockpit with hydraulic disc brakes. This took five hours (£175 labour):
